Waterfall Resort Alaska

Prince of Wales Fishing Lodge Accommodations

Most of our guest quarters once housed the intrepid fishermen of Waterfall Cannery, the record-setting salmon cannery founded in 1912.

Now carefully renovated, all accommodations have ocean or forest views, private baths, and in-room conveniences such as coffee/tea makers and mini-fridges. Conveniently located on the second floor of the General Store (with its supplies and sundries, snack-stocked lounge, and Wi-Fi hotspot) our ten historic Lodge Rooms each feature two double beds, an in-room bathroom with shower, a mini-fridge, and a coffee/tea maker. These rooms are nearest to the Dining Room and Lagoon Saloon, and all have ocean or forest views.

Amenities also include daily housekeeping and ice delivery. And every room and suite is within walking distance (or a courtesy golf-cart ride) of the docks, Dining Room, and Lagoon Saloon. Nonsmoker? Ask for one of our nonsmoking rooms.

Travel Information

Most people travel to Seattle then board Alaska Airlines for the flight to Ketchikan Alaska. Plan to arrive in Ketchikan before Noon. You will board a floatplane at 12:30 for a short hop to the resort. You will be welcomed on the dock by staff. After you check in, you will be heading out to your first afternoon of fishing.

After breakfast on departure day, you again board your fishing boat for a morning of fishing returning to the dock at about 10.00 am. The crew processes your catch and you have lunch before your float plane arrives. The onsite Alaskan Airlines Agent confirms flights, tags bags and fish boxes. They will confirm your seats and boarding passes thus eliminating this process at the airport. Floatplanes leave the lodge at about 1:30 pm.
