Fishing Regulations

British Columbia has regulations in place to help protect their bountiful fishery.

  • Halibut: These regulations allow halibut under 65 lbs to be kept. The fish kept average between thirty and fifty pounds and you are allowed 2 per person. Each year they release multiple Halibut over 200 pounds! Last seasons big fish measured 7’2” and over 300lbs! It is important to release these big breeders as they help protect the fishery for years to come. * Our outfitter typically buys quota so you can keep additional halibut at $9 per pound over your limit if you choose.
  • King Salmon: 2 per day, 4 in possession (20-30 pound average)
  • Silvers Salmon: 4 per day, 8 in possession
  • Lingcod: 2 per day, 4 in possession
  • Rockfish: 4 in total
