  • 2:1 guiding.
  • You’ll most likely be hunting on private ground in Unit 82, but if the antelope are on public land, you may hunt that instead.
  • Hunting vouchers are available if you don’t draw.
  • Archery hunts are in August.
  • Rifle hunts are in October.
  • You may also have opportunities to shoot coyotes if you wish during this hunt.
Mountain Lion Hunts

The Colorado mountain lion hunting season runs from mid November through the month of March. There is not a more scenic time of year to see the Rocky Mountains of Colorado.

These hunts can be set by a date or you can be on call. We ask on call hunters will need to be here on short notice with the weather changes. *If you are not dedicated to your lion hunt we suggest you don’t do it, as these are not a casual hunt. This is a fair chase hunt and sometimes with heavy competition lions can be hard to find. However, do not be discouraged by not so perfect conditions and rough lion country.

Drop Camps

If you’re an experienced elk hunter, this is a great opportunity for a more affordable Colorado elk hunt than going with an outfitter. With several remote camp locations available, your journey to camp may involve a horse ride or ATV transport, tailored to your group’s needs based on age, health, or the type of hunt you choose.

Your outfitter will take care of setting up your camp, providing essentials like a tent, cooking gear, and even a shower upon request. You’ll need to bring your own food and hunting equipment, while they do offer valuable tips on where to find the best hunting spots near your camp. These DIY hunts are structured for a five-day adventure, but longer stays can be arranged to suit your preferences.
