Combo Hunts

Hunters can also customize their adventure by adding tags for other game, such as deer, bear, or wolf, giving you the possibility of a combo hunt. The season kicks off in September and continues through mid-November, and each season has its pros and cons. Be warned however, this is tough country and it will not be easy. Selway-Bitterroot Wilderness

The Selway-Bitterroot Wilderness Area is one of the most rugged and remote wilderness regions in the United States, straddling the border between Idaho and Montana.

Lodging and Accommodations

The outfitter will provide a fully furnished camp including wall tents, cots, table with chairs, wood stove, camp grill, firewood, and cookware. We will provide 3 meals a day including snacks/beverages. We advise bringing some of your favorite snacks and adult beverages for you to enjoy, if you’d like.

You’ll be in the wilderness in a remote location and WILL NOT have phone service or wi-fi. They use satellite communication for emergencies.

We strongly encourage all of our hunters to get into the best possible physical shape you can be.  You will enjoy your hunt more and have a higher success.

Your experienced guides will have local knowledge of the area and animal behavior, providing you with the best possible chance for a successful hunt. As one of the few places that permit rifle elk hunting during the rut, this is a rare and exhilarating hunting experience.

Travel Information

Missoula, MT airport is the closest airport if you’re flying. We can arrange a shuttle service from Missoula to Hamilton if needed for an additional fee. From Hamilton, MT you will use Choice Aviation our local aviation company to fly into the backcountry camp.

Your flight into the airstrip is about 20 minutes. From there you will ride on horseback to one of their other backcountry camps. Depending on the camp it can take 2-6 hours.
