Colorado Mountain Lion Hunt
This is one of our best, most consistent mountain lion hunts for big trophy toms.
This outfitter has been in business for years, and prides himself on his client satisfaction. As a result, 90% of his business is repeat clients and referrals. They take a limited number of hunters each year to ensure high quality hunts, and their guides are top notch.

Lodging and Accommodations
This outfitter does not include meals or lodging in your hunt.
You will stay in a local motel, and there are four good restaurants in town:
- Westcliffe Inn – 719-783-9275

A Typical Day:
- Your guide will pick you up at 4:00-6:30 a.m. to drive to hunting area, hopefully find a track, and start in a lion early in the morning.
- You’ll spend the day trailing the cat or looking for a track.
- Depending on conditions and snow, you’ll usually hunt until noon to 2 p.m.
Travel Information
- You will fly to Colorado Springs and rent a car.
- Arrangements can be made for pick up by the outfitter.
Recommended Gear
- Temperatures can range from well below zero to the mid 40’s.
- We recommend you bring warm, waterproof hiking boots, thermals, and any other cold weather gear you may have.
- Dressing in layers is helpful as often times it warms up mid-morning or afternoon. The terrain can range from steep rocky mountain sides to heavily timbered, thick forest, so it’s not uncommon to take of and put on layers as you hunt.
- On a mountain lion hunt, you may be out hunting for many hours, so bring snacks and drinks with you in your backpack/hunting pack.
