Goodnews River Fishing Lodge

FISHING TRIP #OI-GRL1

Alaska Fishing Lodge on the Goodnews River

This is the ONLY full-service fishing lodge on the Goodnews River. Fishing here is like fishing was before the crowds discovered your favorite secret fishing hole.

The Goodnews River is a three-branch wilderness river system about 450 miles from Anchorage, at the edge of the Togiak National Wilderness Reservand flowing into the Bering Sea in southwest Alaska. If you’ve fished some of the more famous Rivers in Alaska, you know you have to compete for the best spots on the river with other Lodges. Not here. The only other anglers you’re likely to see are your campmates!

You’ll have access to over 490 miles of fishable water. Our Goodnews River fishing lodge has a fleet of high speed jet boats.

The River boasts outstanding runs of all five species of Pacific Salmon, Sea run Dolly Varden, Rainbow Trout and Grayling. The Lodge is a fixed camp on the banks of the main branch just above tidewater, and is not a fly out Lodge, so weather is rarely an issue.

This is a week long Alaska fishing adventure from Wednesday to Wednesday.

  • This lodge is the only full service lodge on the Goodnews River.
  • Very little fishing pressure.
  • The Goodnews River is a small, intimate, easy wading River.
  • Outstanding runs of all five species of Pacific salmon.
  • Sea run Dolly Varden.
