Whether you prefer a relaxed evening hunt over bait or the excitement of a hound pursuit, this outfitter has a hunt to match your preferences and fitness level.
Idaho black bears come in a stunning variety of color phases, ranging from jet black to shades of brown, blonde, and even cinnamon. This diverse palette adds an exciting element to your hunt as you never know what color bear might step into view.
1. Baited Hunts
Ideal for hunters of all ages and physical abilities, baited hunts offer a relaxed yet thrilling experience. You’ll hunt from either tree stands or ground blinds, with a dedicated guide working on a 1:1 ratio to help you evaluate and select your trophy bear. You’ll begin hunting after dinner around 6 P.M., with late nights being common as darkness falls around 10 P.M. A 1:1 guide-to-hunter ratio on baited hunts ensures you receive expert advice and support in selecting your trophy bear.
2. Hound Hunts
For those seeking a more active and physically demanding challenge, hound hunting is an adrenaline-pumping adventure. These hunts begin early, around 5 A.M., and can vary from short sprints to all-day pursuits as the hounds track bears through rugged terrain.

We also offer one week per year of spot-and-stalk bear hunting, perfect for those looking for a physically intense and rewarding experience. These are 2:1 guided hunts and involves covering ground on foot, using keen observation and strategy to close the distance on your quarry.
