Included:

Lodging and Accommodations

This is a backcountry hunt with wall tents with floors, cots, and wood stoves. There is also a shower tent available.

  • There won’t be any electricity, cell service, or WiFi in camp.
  • Breakfast is typical breakfast stuff, eggs, bacon, pancakes, biscuits.
  • Lunch is sandwiches, chips, candy bars, and nuts.
  • Supper is depending on the night, steak, chicken, pork chops, chili, tacos, and spaghetti.

Guides

2 hunters per guide, however 1×1 guiding is also available for an extra fee.

Everything on the trip will be by horseback or hiking. Clients are welcome to help with meat packing to be a part of the experience but the guides will be glad to handle it if not.

Travel Information

You’ll fly into Butte, Montana and drive to Wisdom the day before your hunt is scheduled (Rental cars are available). *Pickup at the airport can be arranged beforehand.

  • The next day you’ll ride into camp on horses (takes half of a day) and from there hunt from a base camp about 5 miles into the backcountry.
  • You’ll wake up in the morning and have breakfast and grab a lunch to take with you. Your guide will have your horse caught and saddled.
  • You’ll ride or hike out of camp each day to the hunting area depending on where the elk are.
  • You’ll hunt for the day and come back to camp after dark typically. Then throw on some comfy clothes and come to the cook tent for supper before heading to bed.
  • You’ll have a half day ride out, and then depart.
