British Columbia Black Bear Hunt

Experience the thrill of a lodge-based black bear hunt in the pristine wilderness of British Columbia.

This lodge-based, spot-and-stalk hunt in BCI is a solid choice if you’re looking for a great black bear hunt in British Columbia. Whether you’re hunting on horseback, cruising by boat, or navigating rugged trails in a 4×4, you’ll enjoy an experience tailored to fit your abilities, even if you’re navigating with crutches or a wheelchair. The bears here are robust, thriving on a diet rich in fish, and they can grow impressively large. With seasoned guides by your side, you’ll find the hunt as fulfilling as the stories you’ll share over top-notch meals back at the lodge. Here, in the wilds of British Columbia, adventure awaits, promising memories that linger long after the frost has melted.

Both spring and fall seasons offer great opportunities. Spring hunts run from mid-May to early June, with temperatures between the mid-60s and mid-70s. Fall hunts take place from mid-September to the end of October, when frosty mornings offer prime conditions.

We specialize in spot and stalk hunting. Depending on the terrain and conditions, we use 4x4s, boats, or horses to hunt bears.  On a typical day you should see between 2 to 10 bears. Driving to glassing points. New growth areas and grassy hillsides.

Yes, during the fall season, you have the opportunity to combo your bear hunt with moose. You can also add a wolf on a trophy fee basis.

You’ll stay in first-class lakefront accommodations, complete with shower facilities. Meals are top-notch, ensuring you stay fueled for your adventure. Please note that alcohol is not included.

Fly commercial to Prince George, BC (YXS) the day prior to your hunt.  You’ll stay overnight and your outfitter will meet you at 9AM on the start date, drive you to camp to settle in. Then you’ll confirm your rifle is on and have lunch. That afternoon, you’ll be introduced to your guide and begin bear hunting. Departure is in the afternoon on the last day of the hunt. *Upon booking your bear hunt, your outfitter will mail you a detailed travel itinerary.

We provide both 1:1 and 2:1 guiding options. Our seasoned guides tailor the experience to match your abilities, ensuring a successful and enjoyable hunt.

I didn't think an experience like this was possible.

This trip, was, for me at least not just a trip, for me it was a real adventure, a real experience. I love the wilderness and this trip afforded me the opportunity to connect with the Alaskan wilderness in ways very few people do. It was an experience I will never forgot in a place I can’t wait to get back to.

The outfitter handled everything perfectly.

We were thankful that Outdoors International hooked us up with a great outfitter because they were able to find us an acceptable alternate on short notice. Overall the two year process to get this float in was seamless and worry free. Just like it should be.

Thank you, Stan Masneri

What an amazing experience!

The lodge was out of this world! Our rooms, the delicious food, the incredible wildlife and the scenery were amazing. Our photo safari guide was truly exceptional and had us on animals almost constantly. We saw over 30 different species and had some incredible up close experiences. Africa is amazing!
