This trophy baited bear hunt is usually booked primarily as an Alaska black bear hunt. An Alaska brown bear can be added for a trophy fee which you pay only on harvest or wound. These hunts are very successful.

This hunt blends two effective bear hunting strategies into one adventure. Baited hunts are a proven, comfortable approach: each afternoon, hunters make their way to the stand and settle in for a sit that can extend well into the night or even into the early morning hours. Our outfitter’s bait sites are large, comfortable, permanent platforms that have been positioned at highly active bait locations for many years, maximizing your encounter opportunities.

For those preferring an active approach, spot-and-stalk hunting begins after a hot breakfast. Hunters travel the river drainages and surrounding areas, glassing for bears traveling across the landscape or feeding on the mountainsides. This dual-method format gives hunters the best of both worlds throughout their stay.

They handle cooking, animal care, and packing — though clients are always welcome to pitch in. Baited hunts typically begin by reaching the stand late in the afternoon and settling in for a sit that can extend well into the night or even early the next morning. Our bait sites are large, comfortable permanent platforms that have been located at very active baits for years.
