Hunting the Exotic Trio in Pakistan: Blandford Urial, Chinkara Gazelle, and Sindh Ibex
Embarking on a big game hunt in Pakistan for three of Pakistan’s most sought-after trophies: the Sindh Ibex, Blandford Urial, and the Chinkara Gazelle.
Blandford Urial: The Blandford Urial, one of the world’s most beautiful wild sheep, is found in the southern mountains of Pakistan, specifically in Sindh and Balochistan. These animals are known for their distinctive, curved horns which can range from 26 to over 30 inches. To hunt this species, you’ll need to trek through arid, rocky landscapes, perfect for those seeking a less physically demanding hunt compared to the northern mountain species. The hunting season runs from November through March, offering optimal conditions for spotting these majestic creatures.
Sindh Ibex: This species is found in the same general region as the Urial but prefers the more rugged, elevated parts of the landscape. Sindh Ibex are admired for their impressive horns, which can extend from 36 to 44 inches. Hunting this ibex takes you through challenging terrains, though with the promise of potentially excellent trophies within just a few days of hunting. The season aligns with Urial and Gazelle, offering a chance for a combo hunt that maximizes your trophy potential.
Chinkara Gazelle: Often referred to as the Indian gazelle, the Chinkara inhabits the lower altitudes around Karachi, sharing habitats with the Blandford Urial. These gazelles are smaller, with adult weights around 50 pounds and horns that grow 7 to 12 inches. Their agility and speed make them a test of skill and patience for any hunter. The hunting areas are accessible within a few hours from Karachi, providing an opportunity to combine hunts with a cultural excursion in Pakistan’s vibrant city life.
