The Wrangell Mountains have been a premier Alaska moose hunting destination since 1898, and they still offer the same rugged, awe-inspiring experience. One hunter even remarked it felt like stepping back in time to the Pleistocene era.
This concession in the Wrangell Mountains boasts an abundant moose population. The use of horses allows us to access prime hunting areas far from airstrips, ensuring exclusive hunting opportunities with no outside competition. The hunting season spans 30 days, from August 20 to September 20, and offers advantages both early and late in the season.
Our outfitter only uses expert guides know these mountains and the moose well, whether it’s spotting and stalking in the open valleys or hunting the timber during the rut. The trophy potential here is exceptional, with moose ranging from mid-50s to 70 inches, thanks to the great genetics. We maintain limited hunting quotas to preserve the quality of the experience and ensure excellent hunting for years to come.
