This area also has a wide variety of waterfowl species including puddle ducks, sea ducks, and geese.

Physical preparation

This trip is not very strenuous, but you might want to do some curls to prepare for fighting salmon all day!

Travel information
  • Guests typically fly into Cordova, AK on Flight 61 or 66 the day before departing Cordova via float plane.
  • Float plane will depart on Saturday morning (weather depending).
  • Guests will fly out on the same float plane they came in on (weather depending).
  • Once back in Cordova, guests should have enough time to take either flight departing that Saturday.

In the Field

Lodging and accommodations

The camp is in a pristine location on the Bering River. It is remote but they ensure that guests have a comfortable stay in their spacious, heated wall tents and top notch modern camp appliances.

They have a large, heated common area tent for dining. A fire pit to socialize, which is screened in. A shower tent with hot water on demand and there is even a hot tub in camp. This is the ultimate remote Alaska “glamping” experience.

Hot coffee and a selection of breakfast items to chose from will be provided every morning. Lunches are packed and sent with guests everyday. There is a plethora of snacks and beverages available to guests at anytime. Home cooked gourmet meals will be served in the dining tent every evening.

Start your day with a cup of hot coffee and gorgeous views around the camp’s prime location. The guides will cater to how you would like to spend your day.

Typically after breakfast you will head out with your guide for the day to enjoy the activities they have to offer. Whether it be fishing for Salmon all day, a duck hunt in the morning, or observing the incredible wildlife… you call the shots.

Return to camp in the afternoon or evening to wind down with a hot shower and hot meal.

The guides are experienced captains that will take great care of their clients.

  • Guide to client ratio is typically 2×1.
  • Each group gets their own boat.
  • The guides will take care of packaging any game that you wish to take home with you.
