The outfitter and master guide has access to Registration (No-Draw) Brown Bear Tags on Kodiak Island.
The area he hunts on the Kodiak Road System is very remote and away from the other outfitters that may run into resident hunters. The outfitter has camps setup on a private ranch to keep you away from resident hunters.
“No Draw” Kodiak Brown Bear Tags
Spring and Fall bear hunts are available on Kodiak Island.
Trophy boars are targeted for this hunt. The average brown bear harvested is 9 feet but he has taken many that reached 10 and even a monster at 11 1/2 feet squared. Hunts are done spot and stalk where you glass from an elevated vantage point. The spring Kodiak bear hunts are done near the beach where the bears come in looking for food washed up on the beach. The fall hunts are conducted over spawning salmon streams.

Typical Hunting Schedule
Your hunt day starts with a hearty breakfast get you through the day of hunting. Lunches will be packed and eaten in the field. Hunting is done on foot where you hike to a vantage spot and glass for bears. Once a bear is spotted a plan is devised to put a stalk on the bear to harvest your trophy.
1×1 guiding by a licensed Alaska Master Guide.
Hiking and possible atv or horses are sometimes used.
Guides do the packing for you.
