A mouflon sheep hunt in Croatia is a real mountain sheep hunt, not a Texas high fence hunt for released rams. You will work for your trophy by hiking through rugged sub-Mediterranean scrub brush along the Dalmatian coast of the Adriatic sea. The coastal mountains of Croatia turn out some outstanding mouflon rams and even Balkan chamois. Our hunters also enjoy hunting wild Dalmatian Ovan, or wild sheep with this great outfitter.

A Croatia mouflon sheep hunt can take place on one of several islands, and coastal hunting areas, as well as a few interior regions of the country. It is required that all harvested animals be measured and weighed to obtain more information on specific populations. On a Croatia mouflon sheep hunt, you can expect some altitudes of up to 6,000 feet. However, good road access to the hunting areas makes this hunt doable for hunters of any age.

Mouflon sheep can be hunted year-round, but the prime season for mouflon hunting in Croatia is from late September to early December. This is when the weather is most favorable and the game is abundant, giving you the best shot at a trophy specimen.

Our day kicks off early, especially during the warmer months. We hunt in the morning and evening, navigating through the rugged terrains and thick vegetation with our expert guides. You’ll be actively searching for moufflon and may need to make strategic approaches and precise shots from distances of 150 to 300 yards.

You’ll be in the capable hands of our seasoned professionals who know the local terrain and moufflon behavior inside out. We also have a second guide scouting additional areas to increase your chances of a successful hunt.

Our hunting grounds are located in Sv. Juraj near Senj, Jablanac, and the island of Dugi Otok, Croatia. These areas are known for their rugged beauty and rich wildlife.

Be prepared for precise shooting at distances ranging from 150 to 300 yards. It’s important to be comfortable with these ranges for a successful hunt.

You can expect excellent trophy quality. Representative, Bronze, Silver and Gold rams are available.

Chamois can be found in the same area, but the season is October 1 through January. They rut in November. This outfitter also offers hunts for Eurasian brown bear; red stag; roe deer; Dalmation wild sheep; and wild boar.
