Camp Locations
The goal is ALWAYS to place you in a location where you will have a chance for a successful hunt. The camps are placed along the migration route, to stack the odds in your favor. All of the areas we use have had historical success. The weather, our schedule and caribou movement will determine your camp location. They try our best to locate camps in areas with plenty of driftwood/willows for makeshift camping, temporary meat caches and building fires.

Travel Information
- You will fly to Anchorage, AK (ANC), then catch a flight to Kotzebue, where the transporter will send someone from their team to meet you at the airport.
- You’ll need to also book a flight to Kotzebue (OTZ) from Anchorage (ANC) with Alaska Airlines.
- Schedules can vary so check in advance.
- Arriving on the day you’re scheduled to go into the field DOES NOT leave enough time.
- You will need to plan on being in Kotzebue the day/evening **PRIOR** to your scheduled departure date, making sure you secure a place in town for the night to lay your head.
- Book “flexible” return flights and we HIGHLY recommend trip insurance! *Weather is a variable that no one can control. Weather conditions may prevent us from being able to fly. Such instances are rare, but can occur.
Transport In and Out of the Field
- They are on a tight schedule, and it is in their best interest to stick to it. However, we all know that the weather in Alaska doesn’t like to cooperate. At times you’ll have to wait for the weather to clear, or frost or snow to melt off the wings before they can start flying. If such conditions do exist, please be patient. There is nothing anyone can do about the weather.
- They’ll use either a float plane or a plane with bush wheels to get you into the field. The schedule and caribou movement depicts which plane will be used.
Meat Care
- Bring good quality game bags with you.
- Transporters are not permitted to store meat at their facility in Kotzebue. Meat will stay in the field with you for the entire time unless arrangements are made between you and the pilot.
- Kotzebue DOES NOT have meat processing facilities to accommodate hunters.
- The local Hotel in Kotzebue we recommend has a walk-in, -20 degree freezer for hunters to freeze their meat prior to departure back home.
- Meat boxes can be purchased at the hanger. Boxes can be checked on as luggage. Boxes must not be over 100 pounds. Excess baggage fees will be charged by the airlines for additional pieces of checked baggage on Alaska Airlines.

They will get you remote
Our transporter will get you, your gear and hopefully your caribou meat and antlers in and out of the field.
The hunting is up to you
They’ll do their absolute best to put you where the caribou are, but that doesn’t mean they’re going to cooperate. You will have to hunt for them.
Adventure is their Guarantee
One thing is certain, whether you get your bull or not, you will have an adventure. Alaska is ALWAYS an adventure.
