British Columbia Moose Hunts

This outfitter in Northern British Columbia is thrilled to finally have moose hunting quotas in place.

Over the past seven years, the provincial government and local Indigenous communities have collaborated to address the region’s wolf problem. Since the winter of 2016, professional wildlife teams have been working to collar, capture, and control wolf populations in an effort to protect the declining caribou herds. These conservation efforts have yielded remarkable results, with a significant rebound in ungulate populations. The hunting grounds now offer a healthy population of mature moose, providing hunters with an exceptional experience.

British Columbia Moose Hunting

The region is known for its outstanding bull moose genetics, with Boone and Crockett-class bulls harvested annually. Hunting methods include the use of trucks, ATVs, side-by-sides, and jet boats to access the long valley floors and moose habitats that have been popular for years. Based on pre-scouting findings, accommodations are set up at base camp, remote cabins, or wall tent camps, positioned near the areas where the largest mature bulls are found.

The landscape is rich and diverse, with freshwater rivers offering fishing opportunities between morning and evening hunts. Wildlife is abundant, so hunters should inquire about other available tags that can be added to their trip. With moose hunting on quota, a limited number of tags are available, so early booking is essential.

Add an Elk Hunt to Your Moose Hunt

Hunters can expand their experience by adding a Rocky Mountain Canadian Elk hunt, featuring one of the most vocal and thrilling game animals in Canada. The hunting area encompasses open poplar flats, river hillsides, and wide valleys with alfalfa fields, providing an ideal habitat for elk. Regardless of the hunting season, this region offers some of the finest elk hunting opportunities, with bulls ranging from 300 to 340 class and boasting heavy mass.

The guides adapt their hunting methods based on the time of year, using jet boats and strategically placed camps, including riverside wall tents and cabins. With extensive experience and knowledge of the terrain, they are committed to providing hunters with a prime opportunity to pursue trophy elk and enjoy a successful hunt.
